Barbecue has long been my passion. Open pit style cooking passed down through the generations of my family produces a barbecue my friends have enjoyed for years. Their encouragement led me to begin competing in 1986. Joined by my family in 1997, we have had the honor of cooking at the Memphis in May World Championship Cooking Contest for the last eight years earning second place pork should in 2002. In addition, we have had three consecutive invitations to represent the state of Alabama at Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbecue and yielded two first place whole hog and two Reserve Grand Champion honors.

Inspired by these and multiple other Grand Championships, we wanted to share our love of barbecue. Britt’s Barbecue has now expanded beyond competition by offering The Ultimate Cooking School for “How-To” instruction in backyard and competition cooking. We also manufacture Jedmaster and Jack’s Old South commercial, competition and backyard barbecue pits while offering a line of sauces, rubs and powders. All are available in Britt’s Online Store. We are excited to bring the best of Southern barbecue to you!
